Position Summary:

ANSER is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to support the Special Access Program (SAP) Information Technology (IT) program under the Department of Defense (DoD) Chief Information Officer (CIO). In this role you will provide cybersecurity subject matter expertise and support.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and knowledge of best practices for evaluating, implementing, and disseminating information technology security assessment, monitoring, detection, and remediation tools and procedures.
  • Review security design documentation to ensure it meets comprehensive security requirements and compliance with DoD and federal regulations and guidelines.
  • Support the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and implementation to include performing independent cyber validation and verification of documentation, observing live system demos to provide guidance to Information Systems Security Manager and other stakeholders, providing RMF validation services, overseeing system owners assessment and authorization (A&A) and continuous monitoring processes, and tracking remediation assessment findings.
  • Perform as SAP ITs Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) administrator by providing expertise, access control, training, assistance, change management, and user/group/organization builds and assignments. 
  • Support the design of a DoD SAP IT cybersecurity compliance and verification program that is applicable to the DoD SAP enterprise.
  • Research innovative means and develop process documentation to measure and improve cybersecurity compliance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a cybersecurity related discipline, or any bachelors degree and cyber related certification of CISSP or higher.
  • 10+ years related experience.
  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance.
  • Experience with eMASS.
  • Demonstrated understanding of DoD information management and technology.
  • Ability to plan and lead major work assignments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of DoD CIO and SAP IT.
  • Cybersecurity certifications such as CISM or Security+.
