POSITION SUMMARY

This position is for the Operations, Maintenance, and Repair Services of the Memphis Internal Revenue Service Center (MIRSC) in Memphis, Tennessee. It reports to the Project Manager. The Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Administrator is responsible for providing updates and reports in the CMMS. The position also provides a variety of clerical and administrative functions for the project.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • The CMMS Administrator shall be available on-site from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and at any other times required to manage all CMMS activities effectively.
  • Serves as the subject matter expert on the contract CMMS.
  • Develop and provide all necessary reports and database queries as requested by the COR within 4 hours.
  • Updates CMMS with maintenance and equipment information provided by service technicians, shift supervisors, and the PM.
  • Manage CMMS program and ensure system efficiency.
  • Analyze and report on maintenance data.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure the synchronization of data.
  • Develop preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Train staff on CMMS utilization

EDUCATION/TRAINING

  • High School diploma required. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Preferred training and/or certification in database management.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience (within the past 5 years) as a CMMS Administrator
  • Deep understanding of maintenance operations and asset management
  • Experience in facilities maintenance

SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Exceptional computer skills, especially using CMMS or database management software
  • Superior interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent office computer skills to include MSOffice - Outlook, Work and Excel

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to 35 pounds.
  • Some climbing and balancing required
  • Generally, the job requires 75% sitting, 15% walking, and 10% standing
  • High noise levels are common with general facility maintenance

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This position requires on site presence at the IRS facilities located in Memphis, Tennessee; no remote work available
  • Limited physical accommodations available
  • This role requires work in office setting and in non-office settings such as machinery rooms, electrical distribution centers, server rooms, and industrial locations Work may require exposure to heat/cold, noise, dusts, mist, and/or fumes
  • Requires wearing personal protective equipment such as COVID-19 mask, safety glasses, fall protection harness, protective-toe footwear, gloves, hard hat, and hearing protection.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass a National Agency Background Check (NAC) in order to access & use Government Computer Systems.
  • Must complete all mandated training requirements per government and management directive
