Job Details:

Mercer University is searching for a Video Producer on the Macon, Georgia campus.


Responsibilities:

The Video Producer shoots, produces, edits and disseminates videos that support the University’s marketing communications objectives. In addition to producing videos for archival purposes, the video producer should be skilled at producing short, lively packages for social media, an increasingly strategic and important component of the University’s marketing communications agenda. This position requires minimal supervision and a high level of responsibility and professionalism.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in Media or a related field and two years of experience which must include multimedia, graphics, video production, and media management are required. Candidates should proficient in video editing (Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, etc.), digital photography editing (Lightroom, Photoshop, etc.), and multimedia production.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to plan and implement detailed video projects;

  • Ability to set up and operate professional video and audio recording equipment;

  • Video production and editing skills;

  • Produce new media materials using a range of methods, media, techniques and equipment;

  • Skilled in accessing internet information services;

  • Ability to lead and train students and staff;

  • Ability to provide formal / informal instruction to non-technical personnel in the use of multimedia hardware / software and equipment;

  • Skill in the use of Macintosh and PC computers and related software applications;

  • Ability to coordinate and organize meetings and/or special events;

  • Creativity, responsibility, ability to interface well with faculty, staff and students.
