ABOUT THE ROLE

The Attorney Learning & Development Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the firm's attorney training programs are effectively executed across all regions. The firm-wide role requires strong project management, organizational, and communication skills to coordinate learning initiatives, track CLE and bar compliance, manage the firm's LMS, and support curriculum development. The Specialist will work closely with members of the Attorney Learning & Development Group (ALDG), faculty and stakeholders across the firm's offices to enhance attorney training and professional growth globally. Responsibilities may evolve to meet department and firm priorities, including initiatives in talent development, learning innovations, or process improvements. This individual will ensure client service and satisfaction are attained in all areas of position.

  • Coordinate, schedule, and manage firmwide, regional, and practice group training programs.

  • Oversee logistics, including communications, scheduling, materials, and technology setup.

  • Support faculty in content preparation and program delivery.

  • Analyze program data, including attendance, feedback, and engagement metrics.

  • Coordinate vendors and logistics for large-scale training events.

  • Maintain and update training materials in MoFo LEARN (LMS), MoFo Connect (the firm’s intranet), and other platforms for learning.

  • Update and optimize MoFo LEARN (LMS) with accurate course listings and reports.

  • Develop online learning content, including modules, quizzes, and resources.

  • Provide user support and troubleshoot LMS issues for attorneys and faculty.

  • Assess and recommend new learning technologies to improve efficiency and engagement.

  • Track and maintain attorney bar compliance records.

  • Verify compliance and coordinate bar audit data collection.

  • Ensure alignment with jurisdictional requirements by working with bar associations and internal teams.

  • Support CLE accreditation, respond to attorney inquiries, and serve as a CLE resource.

  • Monitor ALDG budget and resolve expense issues with Financial Operations.

  • Manage attorney outside education approvals and track expenditures.

  • Streamline administrative processes for greater efficiency.

  • Support curriculum mapping and competency updates.

  • Partner with Business Development, HR, and IT to align training programs with firm priorities.

  • Analyze ALDG programs and processes to recommend improvements.

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred/required; minimum 4 years of experience in learning and development, professional development, or talent management within professional services. Law firm experience strongly preferred.

  • Project management experience required.

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat required.

  • Experience with CLE compliance and bar compliance tracking.

  • Familiarity with Easygenerator and instructional design principles.

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism regarding firm personnel and matters.

  • Communicates effectively with individuals at all levels inside and outside the firm using strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Collaborates across teams to build relationships and drive effective solutions.

  • Works with vendors to facilitate effective partnerships and align on mutually workable solutions.

  • Works both independently and collaboratively, taking ownership of tasks while incorporating guidance from leadership.

Where required by law, salary ranges are stated below. Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus, overtime as applicable, health/welfare benefits, retirement contributions, paid holidays, and PTO. The range displayed is specifically for positions performed in those cities/states and may vary based on factors including but not limited to the following: local market data and ranges; an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience; and certain degrees, licensing, and certifications. New York, San Francisco, Palo Alto salary range: $86K to $100K

Los Angeles, San Diego, Boston, Washington, D.C. salary range: $74K to $92K

Denver salary range: $69K to $86K
