We are looking for someone who can:

• Prepare rooms, equipment and supplies for examination of patients; cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Interview patients, measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height), and records information in patient chart; reports abnormal values to nurse and/or provider
• Assist physician with instruments and materials during examinations
• Perform staple and suture removal and wound care using aseptic technique
• Give injections or treatments and performs routine laboratory tests
• Maintain awareness of comfort and safety needs of patient, and provides compassionate care
• Helps coordinate patient referrals by scheduling outside appointments, tests and procedures
• Complete time-sensitive precertification's for tests and procedures
• Accurately key data into computer to maintain office and patient records
• Work collaboratively with nurse to facilitate efficient clinic workflow and to ensure quality patient care and physician satisfaction

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of Medical Assistant Program
• Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) designation
• BLS certification

Preferred:

• One (1) year experience in an outpatient/clinic environment
