Summary/Objective:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Manager to oversee daily operations related to shipping, receiving, inventory management, and logistics. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient warehouse operations, maintaining accurate records, and leading a team to meet company objectives. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, experience in warehouse management, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Essential Functions:

Shipping & Receiving:

  • Manage all inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Coordinate with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to schedule shipments and deliveries
  • Verify shipments against orders and resolve any discrepancies

Inventory & Warehouse Management:

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts
  • Organize and optimize warehouse layout for efficiency and safety
  • Implement and enforce best practices for inventory control and loss prevention

Team Leadership & Supervision:

  • Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff to ensure productivity and compliance with company policies
  • Delegate tasks and monitor employee performance, providing feedback and coaching as needed
  • Foster a positive and safe work environment while ensuring adherence to safety regulation

Process Improvement & Compliance:

  • Develop and improve shipping and receiving processes to enhance efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards
  • Maintain proper documentation and reporting for audits and compliance checks

Supervisory Responsibility: No

Required:

  • Minimum of a high school education and two years of warehouse management experience in shipping and receiving or and/or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, train, and manage a warehouse team effectively
  • Technical Skills: Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory software, and shipping platforms
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues and improve processes
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to manage documentation, inventory accuracy, and quality control
  • Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math
  • A valid driver's license and a good driving record
  • Forklift experience required

The work environment and physical demands required would be representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, and may include, but are not limited to the following:

Work Environment:

  • May work in varying temperatures both inside and outside, including inclement weather, heat, humidity, cold, and dampness
  • May work in areas with exposure to moderate/high noise levels
  • May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including dust
  • May be required to work in confined spaces or from high heights

Physical Demands:

  • This role uses construction equipment such as heavy machinery, hand and power tools
  • While performing duties of the job the employee may work aloft, climb, bend, pull, reach overhead, stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequently is required to use hands finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms
  • Must be able to correctly identify all colors of a color-coded

Preferred:

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
  • Prior military experience a plus
