Responsibilities

We are looking for an Allied Design Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will provide technical support to ADS Allied manufacturing sites, improving productivity, safety, and machine efficiencies through engineered solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to understand project requirements and specifications.
  • Coordinate and conduct project management activities, including communication with leadership, department managers, project engineers, and production teams.
  • Serve as the contact point and subject matter expert for outsourced engineering projects.
  • Create and manage the drawing/documentation library.
  • Interact regularly with project sponsors, stakeholders, vendors, and project teams for strategic initiatives.
  • Manage and coordinate new asset construction and existing asset repairs with vendors.
  • Ensure accuracy of PM schedules and compliance with Fixed Asset accounting.
  • Support the Company’s Maintenance Program through predictive services, asset management, and on-site support.
  • Directly support Maintenance & Production teams locally and across the network as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5 years of engineering experience in a related field.
  • Expertise in mechanical design.
  • Experience in project management and coordination.
  • Experience with product research and development.
  • Experience with development of specifications.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in an office setting, stand or sit for prolonged periods, operate office equipment, and verbally communicate to exchange information.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Work safely in and around plant equipment.
  • Adapt to plant climate conditions.
