Manage Title III projects primarily student-focused on technology, systems, and data architecture. Gathers materials; updates project documentation, business flows, and lessons learned information. Manage key projects to ensure successful completion and projects are on time and under budget. Manage cross-functional interdependencies. Provide risk management and issue/problem resolution. Manage budget and meet all grant reporting requirements. Attend all required grant-related meetings and training activities. Develop innovative approaches. Assist with troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Facilitate discussions and consensus among various project stakeholders. Research, evaluate, and recommend future initiatives and technology for the University. Provide technical guidance and leadership to ensure the success of enterprise-wide information technology applications and projects. Coordinate information technology governance activities. Oversee digital transformation initiatives. Serve as the primary interface with the campus community and with external consultants. Assist the Vice President in evaluating the department’s effectiveness and efficiency in meeting operational and program goals, as well as initiatives for new programs and projects. Other duties as assigned.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree is required.
Experience
A minimum of five (5) years of IT customer service and technical project management experience is required. An understanding of technology and business applications is required. Experience as Lead IT Project Manager with a blend of program management, business analysis, and various IT technical skills preferred. Customer service/relationship management experience, deployment of large IT system implementation managing complex technical challenges. Excellent written, verbal, and public speaking communication skills with demonstrated experience improving customer satisfaction in a technical environment.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
PMP certification preferred.
