CLASSIFICATION: Security Guard
GRADE: Non-Exempt; Part-Time
Location: National Radar Cross-Section Test Facility (White Sands Missile Range), Holloman AFB, NM
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Possess ability to deal with situations involving mental or physical duress. Must possess a general knowledge of working on or with a computer. Possess ability to analyze and react to diverse situations. Possess effective communication skills, comprehend both written and verbal instructions and take appropriate actions. Must qualify for and maintain a secret security clearance and possess a valid driver's license.
GENERAL DUTIES: Performs all-encompassing Security Guard duties to include:
OTHER DUTIES: Other duties include general housekeeping of work area and cleanup of assigned work area.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Incumbent must be able to read, write and communicate clearly. Must be capable of understanding and enforcing regulations, instructions and procedures designed to prevent breaches of security. Must hold a High School Diploma and possess a valid driver’s license. Also, must be a US Citizen.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: This position requires Secret security clearance. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. All selected candidates must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation and drug test as a condition of placement into this position. Must also possess ability to deal with situations involving mental or physical duress, a general knowledge of working on or with a computer and an ability to analyze and react to diverse situations as well as utilize effective communication skills, comprehend both written and verbal instructions and take appropriate actions. Supports EOMS operational objectives. Observes company Quality, Safety, Environmental, Security and Administrative policies; supports Process Improvement.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Most work is performed in an office or guard post setting. However, the patrol route includes contact with mechanical and electronic equipment and may require patrolling exterior property during inclement weather. Position will require candidate to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Will be required to lift, pull, or carry items of weight and size commensurate with job requirements. The position requires periodic walking, running, bending, stooping, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
