Shipping Specialist

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works with Inventory Specialist team to maintain adequate supplies and equipment.
  • Assures purchases and receiving are completed following policy and procedure.
  • Provides support and maintenance for inventory related items in inventory tracking software.
  • Manages all shipments, mail, and deliveries for entire Lafayette Headquarters.
  • Packages and loads supplies for delivery.
  • Promotes safe practices and compliance in storage area.
  • Manages purchases, requests, and stock for all office supplies.
  • Other duties/projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience managing inventory
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Physical Demands

  • Sitting at desk and walking throughout office delivering packages
  • Operation of office equipment and computer
  • Occasionally lift/move items up to 50 lbs.
