Position Summary

This position is on-site in Washington, D.C.

National Capitol Contracting is seeking an energetic and service-oriented Conference Support Specialist to join a team of professionals at the EPA. In this position, you will be responsible for supporting conferences, meetings, and events. The position will also be responsible for assisting customers, vendors, and administration with various tasks in the Conference Center.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Provide conferencing and A/V support for the EPA Washington DC Campus, including the WJCE, W, N, and S buildings and the Ronald Regan Building.
  • Unpack, assemble, and configure new EMRS/Teams systems for the campus.
  • Support the existing installed base of 100+ EMRS systems installed.
  • Work to resolve incidents received via ServiceNow ITSM (HQ Conference Room Support Group.
  • Provide direct user support for EPA HQ Campus in the user of VTC, EMES, Zoom, and other EPA-supported services.
  • Provide backup/alternate fill-in support for EISD conferencing support.
  • Communicate within the team and other contractors, as well as 3rd party vendors.

Minimum Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance (Do NOT need to have at the time of application, but must be able to pass a criminal background and credit check).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years working in a call center / administrative environment.
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills with exceptional customer service skills and ability to provide high-level service to a wide range of technical professionals.
  • Ability to think and act quickly and professionally; be a creative problem solver.
  • Prompt, dependable, and able to work outside of core hours if required.
  • Strong self-starter and can work independently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge, experience, and certification in Crestron AV gear and advanced expertise in using and operating complex AV systems.
  • UC / Conferencing knowledge, experience, and training in Microsoft Teams, ZoomGov, and other UC platforms.
  • Experience/Knowledge/Certifications in Windows 10/11 maintenance and troubleshooting (OS updates, application installation, account management, etc.)
  • Solids working knowledge of TCP/IP networking (IP Addressing, subnetting, switching and routing)
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)"

Special Position Requirements

Schedule: 8 hour shift supporting campus operation hours of 0700-1800, with ability to support the customer outside of core hours if needed.
