Overview

The role of the Graduate Porters Lodge Assistant will be to coordinate operation of the Graduate College Porter's Lodge under the supervision of the Graduate College Office Coordinator by providing reception service and processing mail and packages for Graduate College residents.

 

Target Start Date: As soon as possible.

 

This position is temporary.



Responsibilities

  • Answer phone calls to the porters lodge and assist with answering questions
  • Communicate any concerns or questions promptly to the Graduate College Office Coordinator
  • Assist students with inputting work orders for facilities concerns at the Graduate College
  • Responsible for requesting advance approval from their supervisor for time off
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work 10am-2pm on Saturdays
  • Must be able to work 4pm-8pm one evening (Monday-Friday) a week
  • Opportunity to cover weekday shifts due to call outs and vacations


Qualifications

  • Education: High School or Equivalent
  • Great customer service skills
  • Great communication skills
