SUNY Alfred State College of Technology is looking to hire an individual for a full-time, tenure track position in the Mathematics and Physics Department. This faculty member will teach classes in mathematics and will advise and mentor students. The minimum qualification is a M.S. in Mathematics, Statistics or a related field. College teaching experience is a plus, as is the ability to teach an introductory astronomy or physical science class. This is a 10-month position and will have a Fall 2025 start date.
The successful candidate will:
Required Qualifications:
M.S. in Math, Statistics, Math Education or related field (Ph.D is preferred)
Preferred Qualifications:
Some college teaching experience.
Ability to teach Statistics and Engineering Statistics
Interest or experience in Data Analytics
Understanding of high school curriculum
Course and Curriculum Development
The starting salary for this position is $55,000 and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
