JOB SUMMARY FOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Design, develop, and maintain internet and intranet websites for NY CREATES. This includes collaborating with content providers, communication and marketing team, and other IT professionals to implement innovative solutions using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, .NET and other front-end technologies.
• Day to day support and advancement of the NY CREATES internet website, intranet website, and other web applications as necessary to support the advancement of technology, research, and facility needs according to given requirements from employees, users, business partners, and affiliates.
• Participate in IT team response to user account requests and system issues received through Help Desk Ticket System.
• Work with IT Leadership and the Chief Information Officer to develop departmental performance metrics.
• Other reasonable duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements for Software Developer

• The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in computer science, web development, or a related field from a college or university accredited by US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization or equivalent experience.
• The candidate must have at least 2 years of experience in designing and developing websites using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and JQuery, .NET, or like technologies. In addition, the candidate must demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. They must have the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced multi-client/ multi-cultural environment.

This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check; this position may require annual background checks.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS for Software Developer

• Research and Semiconductor industry experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory and office applications is desired.
• Knowledge of WordPress and/or MangoApps is a plus.

Salary Range: $100,000- $120,000 / annually

*Posted salary ranges are determined upon experience and education.
