Experience and/or certifications held related to construction inspection or construction materials testing is not required but preferred.  Must pass the following exams within 60 days of employment:  

  • Nuclear Density Safety Course. (if you do not currently have)

What you will do:

  • Perform field tests according to prescribed procedures and standards.
  • Provide test and inspection data for environmental, engineering, field, and laboratory projects. Must have a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Collect soil and concrete samples, prepare samples for testing, record data, and prepare summary reports.
  • Use specialized equipment and apparatus to prepare reports and/or technical data.
  • Operate computer systems and peripheral equipment. Maintain results log.
  • Confer with Engineering staff on test efforts.
  • Set up, maintain, and calibrate equipment.
  • Requires some lifting and carrying.
  • Field assignments may require travel and/or work to be performed on site.
  • Work with other task team members and leaders.
  • Considerable contact with clients, subcontractors, and vendors expected. 

What you will bring:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Requires the ability to lift / carry a case that weighs 95 pounds and push up to 250 pounds in a wheelbarrow.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to work nights and weekends.  
  • Ability to prepare reports and documentation.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills
