Starting hourly rate 24.00 hour, commensurate with experience

It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.

40- Rotating Schedule, 2 weekends off per month, 4 consecutive days off per month

Week 1: Monday – Friday (Monday 2pm-10pm, Tuesday 2pm-10pm, Wednesday 2pm-10pm, Thursday 1:30pm-9:30pm, Friday 2pm-10pm)

Week 2: Wednesday- Sunday (Wednesday 2pm-10pm, Thursday 1:30pm-9:30pm, Friday 2pm-10pm, Saturday 2pm-10pm, Sunday 2pm-10pm)

PROGRAM

The Eagle House Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) provides comprehensive and intensive behavioral health treatment for children ages 6-12, who present with significant emotional or behavioral difficulty and are transitioning from psychiatric hospitalization. Serving as a “step-down,” Eagle House helps prepare them for community-based treatment and a family or foster care setting. Services include coordinated treatment and care, diagnosis clarity, individual, group and family therapy, nursing services, psychiatric services and education services.

JOB SUMMARY

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the program operations and workflow on shift including supervising the direct care staff and ensuring the well-being and supervision of the youth in the program. The Shift Supervisor is effective in ensuring that the direct care staff are guiding, teaching, and serving as role models to youth utilizing a relational, trauma informed, strength- based, culturally competent behavior model to ensure that the safety and individual goals of each client are achieved. The Shift Supervisor provides coaching and support for staff. They reinforce the policies and philosophy of the organization while maintaining professional communication, verbal and written, with internal and external team members to ensure a strong and effective team approach.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Maintains a physical presence on the floor for staff guidance and support throughout shift while demonstrating consistent use of TCI principles and Risking Connections model.
  2. Provides training & documentation oversight on shift. (i.e. hold debriefing, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), on site trainings, incident reports, oversight of daily client update sheets and daily shift report email prior to the end of shift, Workers Compensation, etc.).
  3. Ensures important client observations are shared with Clinical Team to inform treatment interventions and ensures staff are reviewing client Personal Action Plan (PAP) and are familiar with client goals and interventions.
  4. Provides daily observation reports to leadership, report to a higher-level supervisor or manager, providing updates on shift performance and any incidents. Works in collaboration with other supervisors and all departments.
  5. Participates in on-call rotation with other supervisors, 24/7 for one week at time: managing call outs, coverage for ratio and crisis support to the program as needed, acting crisis lead on shift. On-call duties include covering a shift if coverage is not able to be secured to meet ratio.
  6. Attends staff meetings and daily community meetings and presents relevant topics as needed.
  7. Assists in the coordination of staff schedules and ensure that they have their daily schedule, necessary supplies and are aware of programming for the day including appointments, field trips or special events.
  8. Maintains organizational aspects of all common spaces, department procedures/needs, and environmental/staff safety.
  9. Facilitate conflict resolution and problem-solving efforts as needed.
  10. Ensuring the organization and upkeep of workspaces and common areas in conjunction with regulatory and safety standards.

Experience and Skills

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associates Degree preferred; High School diploma is required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback in a solution orientation manner.
  • Make quick decisions and use problem solving to ensure smooth operations.
  • Physically able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations, i.e. must be able to supervise groups of children and perform physical intervention if required; must be able to move freely from place to place without restriction.
