Ellsworth Dispensing Solutions provides the solutions to make parts. We are the knowledge leader in dispensing solutions. Ellsworth Corporation, a global, industry leading distributor of specialty chemicals and equipment currently has a Production Technician opportunity, located in Sparks, NV.

Leverage your car assembly or repair skills in a new way as a Production Technician, building custom dispensing equipment with precision and expertise!

The Production Technician assembles highly customized automated adhesive dispensing equipment according to customer/engineering specifications, internal experience, and industry manufacturing procedures. Uses hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to assemble units. Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards. May repair or refit parts or units that fail tests or tolerance levels.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Builds equipment frames and mechanical sub-assemblies using various hand and power tools
  • Assembles electrical and plumbing components, such as plumbing and pipework, transformers, circuit breakers, terminal blocks, and printed circuit boards on the chassis panel
  • Routes and connects wires and cables between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points
  • Reads and interprets engineering drawings, schematics and blueprints to assemble mechanical and electrical components
  • Verifies quality and accuracy of assembled components and equipment
  • Collaborates with Engineering to update Bills of Materials and other documents
  • Uses cranes, hoists and lifts to position heavy parts and assemblies
  • Uses gauges, calipers, micrometers, and height gauges

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1+ years of assembly, technical or mechanical experience required (3+ years experience preferred)
  • High School/ GED (other combinations of education and experience may be considered)
  • Very strong mechanical aptitude
  • Familiarity with mechanical and electrical concepts
  • Experience in the use of hand and power tools and knowledge of tool safety
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with small parts to assemble them into larger components
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints and electrical schematics
  • Demonstrated capability to follow established procedures and work instructions
  • Demonstrated capability to work without established procedures and work instructions
  • Able to ensure quality standards and targets are met
