The Compliance Specialist is responsible for conducting compliance reviews, and for providing administrative support to the Bank Secrecy Act, audit, compliance and risk management functions at the Bank. This position is part-time, 30-hours per week.


Essential Functions

  • Conducts compliance monitoring as assigned and reports findings.
  • Researches, verifies and documents compliance monitoring. Ensures documentation is complete and organized.
  • Compiles, tracks, and uploads audit information.
  • Disseminates, tracks and monitors employee compliance training.
  • Assists the BSA and Risk Officer in updating compliance policies and procedures.
  • Identifies and reports non-compliance with established policies and procedures to management.
  • Remains abreast of Federal, State and Local laws and regulations as they pertain to the position; Complies with related laws, regulations and Bank policies and procedures.
  • Completes Currency Transaction Reports.
  • Maintains a spreadsheet for the branch cash orders and shipments on a weekly basis to monitor the data to ensure there are no significant deviations.
  • Monitors and tracks site visit completion.
  • Performs various quality control reviews and monitoring pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, Anti-Money Laundering Program, OFAC, and Customer Identification Program compliance
  • Updates and maintains accurate and organized files and records.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two or more years of related experience in the financial services industry.
  • General knowledge of banking operations, bank accounting, auditing, operational and compliance procedures and principles.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate policies and procedures to others.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications; Ability to learn and master other required applications, as needed.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
