Description
THE PURPOSE:
The Senior Ecommerce Operations Manager plays a critical role in optimizing digital commerce operations, ensuring seamless communication, efficiency, and process improvements across multiple teams and stakeholders. This position is responsible for overseeing ecommerce operations, troubleshooting and validating reported site, mobile web and webApp issues, driving strategic initiatives operations, and collaborating with logistics, merchandising, sourcing, IT, legal, customer service, marketing, and third-party vendors.
This role is both strategic and hands-on, identifying opportunities for automation, improving workflows, and ensuring operational excellence to enhance the customer experience and drive revenue growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operational Leadership & Strategy
- Identify, develop and execute strategies to streamline ecommerce operations, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
- Lead key initiatives to optimize digital commerce workflows, ensuring best-in-class operational excellence.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align on ecommerce system monitoring, communications, enhancements, platform updates, and campaign and product launches.
Cross-Functional Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary liaison between ecommerce, IT, DC, customer service, sourcing and production, legal, and external partners to ensure seamless operations and cross-team alignment.
- Act as the go-to expert for operational issues, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
Platform & Technology Management
- Oversee daily ecommerce platform operations, ensuring optimal performance and stability.
- Own issue resolution, working closely with IT, development teams, and external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
- Ensure site performance meets business needs, including site speed, uptime, and checkout functionality.
Ecommerce Compliance
- Serve as an escalation point for compliance issues on site, mobile web and webApp and collaborate with legal, IT, and creative studio to remedy issues.
Data-Driven Insights & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze key operational KPIs, identify trends, and drive improvements in efficiency, conversion rate, and go-to-market (GTM) processes.
- Partner with analytics and business intelligence teams to generate insights that drive strategic decision-making.
- Implement performance dashboards and reporting frameworks to monitor operational success and efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in ecommerce operations, digital operations, or a related role.
- Deep knowledge of Salesforce Commerce Cloud and ecommerce platform best practices.
- Experience in project management, issue resolution, and system troubleshooting.
- Strong familiarity with order fulfillment processes, GTM processes and ecommerce technology stacks.
- Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder management, and process optimization.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in analytics and reporting tools (Google Analytics, Snowflake, Looker).
- Knowledge of compliance and accessibility services and technology stack platforms (AudioEye, Forter, ZenDesk, Nobiu, SFCC Alerts, Aptos, and additional monitoring dashboard to detect anomalies.)
- Proficiency in Jira, Asana, SharePoint, Agile methodologies and sprint cycles, and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience managing vendor relationships.
- Prior experience leading a team or mentoring junior employees is a plus.
