Description:

Semmes Murphey Clinic is committed to implementing a team-based approach to provide excellence in patient care. The Clinic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will work with other members of Semmes Murphey Clinic to provide patient services and is expected to participate in the appropriate team activities with the objective of providing a high standard of patient and clinical service. The Clinic Nurse's primary responsibility is to assist physicians in providing the best available patient care and treatment through hands-on, educational and administrative functions.


Clinic hours in this role include a start time of 7:30am. Additionally, this practice visits Semmes Murphey's out clinic in Collierville, TN once a week and the candidate will need to have reliable transportation to this location.

Requirements:

Minimum:

  • Graduate of nursing program from an accredited college or university
  • One (1) year of experience as an LPN
  • State Nursing License (current)
  • BLS Certification (current)

Preferred:

  • One (1) year experience working in outpatient clinic setting

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Can provide excellent customer service even when managing difficult or emotional situations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and medical practice software.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret verbal orders and direction
  • Desire to seek new learning experiences and share knowledge with others
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and medical practice software

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The employee is required to sit and stand for long periods of time, walk often, and have the capability for occasional overhead and low reaching, bending, kneeling and stooping. Physical strength for equipment needs and patient care activities require the employee to be able to lift and/or move at least 50 pounds. Visual and auditory acuity for timely response and patient care assessment activities is required with the ability to move quickly in response to patient needs. This position involves the use their hands and fingers operate a computer, close vision and frequent telephone use.
