Responsibilities

  • As a member of the site leadership team, share responsibility for the leadership of the business to achieve all financial and non-financial goals.  
  • Lead the execution of customer contracts through hands-on leadership and directing all aspects of production operations and facilities.  Achieve or exceed program objectives for schedule, cost and quality.
  • Build and implement compelling goals and aggressive schedules for improvement, rallying the organization behind a clear mission and actionable plans driven down to every level of the organization.
  • Establish KPI’s and operations metrics and report on progress, achievements and associated business results.  Develop cadence and rigor for reporting progress to various levels of the organization or customer, including executive team, management updates, union and hourly workforce.  
  • Participate in union meetings, grievances, arbitrations and contract negotiations as required.
  • Attract, retain and develop top talent to the operation, creating a high-performance oriented team.  Increase engagement and enable the full potential of employees through consistent mentoring, empowerment and accountable leadership.  
  • Build cooperative relationships across a broad range of key constituencies and functions to influence strategies and best-in-class manufacturing techniques to drive operational competitive advantage with respect to quality, customer service, process efficiency and cost.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree (BA) in Business Administration, Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience which has provided both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field.
  • Five (5) years experience in a manufacturing facility 
  • Experience leading production operations in a low volume/high mix environment is ideal.
  • Proven success in leading and cultivating highly engaged, empowered and accountable teams, of at least 50+ employees, through positive and proactive leadership is required.
  • Prior experience leading or supporting cultural transformation in a unionized environment is highly preferred.
