Senior Product Manager, Mining - Military veterans preferred

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Product Manager to drive the vision, strategy, and execution of our next-generation software solutions for the mining industry. This role will focus on delivering cutting-edge technologies in mine planning, autonomous systems, agentic systems, and automated health and safety monitoring. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management with a track record of delivering transformative solutions in industrial or enterprise software. 

You Will:

• Define and drive product strategy: Develop a compelling vision and roadmap for next-generation mining software solutions, ensuring alignment with industry trends and customer needs.
• Lead market research and competitive analysis: Identify market opportunities, customer pain points, and emerging technologies that can transform mining operations.
• Engage with external stakeholders: Serve as the primary interface with mining operators, technology partners, and industry leaders to understand requirements, gather feedback, and validate product-market fit.
• Drive go-to-market strategy: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and business development teams to position the product, define pricing models, and create compelling value propositions.
• Product vision & innovation: Work closely with engineering, data science, and design teams to guide innovation efforts and prioritize key features that enhance automation, efficiency, and safety.
• Regulatory and industry alignment: Stay up to date with industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and competitive advantage.
• Thought Leadership: Write thought leadership pieces, white papers, and blog posts to establish the company as an innovator in autonomous mining solutions.
• Hands-on execution with engineering: While this role is primarily externally focused, you will occasionally engage with technical product manager & engineering teams to ensure smooth execution of the product roadmap and technical feasibility of solutions. 

You'll Have: 

• 7+ years of product management experience of enterprise software development for industrial systems
• Strong understanding of autonomous systems, AI-driven analytics (predictive & prescriptive), and industrial safety monitoring.
• Proven ability to develop product vision and strategy for complex B2B software solutions.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, and marketing.
• Strong external stakeholder management skills, including working with industry leaders, customers, and regulatory bodies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Technical background (e.g., engineering, data science, or computer science)
• Familiarity with the mining industry and knowledge of surface and underground mine challenges is preferred  

Pay Range: $120,000 - $200,000 base salary. Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role is not remote. Candidates must be based in the Bay Area or Austin, TX area and are expected to report to our office 5 days per week.
