Position Description:

Ensure that projects are completed safely and efficiently, in accordance with project plans, specifications and as directed by the Construction Manager. The primary function of this position is the day-to-day supervision and direction of work of Project Managers, foreman, laborers, operators and mechanics necessary to complete assigned construction projects.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • The following list is intended to be exemplary of the demands of the position, however it is not exhaustive of all day-to-day functions.
  • Provide safe and effective supervision, direction, and training to Project Managers and labor crews to ensure successful project execution.
  • Maintain accurate records of labor, operator, and equipment work hours.
  • •Compile and review pay quantity data with precision, verifying estimates as received from clients.
  • Possess a thorough working knowledge of all tasks required for project completion in accordance with the original bid or estimate.
  • Maintain complete familiarity with all project requirements, specifications, and applicable policies.
  • Conduct formal meetings with the Project Manager to evaluate and discuss project status and progress.
  • Prepare and submit written communications to clients regarding project claims, change orders, and non-conforming work.
  • Demonstrate schedule flexibility, including availability for early starts, extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall project objectives.


Position Requirements:
  • Oversee multiple operations and contracts while effectively addressing employee needs and resource management.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of essential construction practices and procedures.
  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and documentation.
  • Maintain thorough familiarity with OSHA regulations, company policies, and project-specific safety requirements.
  • Adapt to changing schedules with flexibility, including availability for early mornings, extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Plan and schedule projects strategically to ensure timely, efficient, and contract-compliant completion.
  • Collaborate closely with construction coordinators to align scheduling, equipment, and overall project needs.
  • Communicate schedule updates and operational changes clearly and promptly to all relevant personnel.


Work Conditions

Candidate must be able to tolerate moderate to loud noise level (PPE will be provided, including hearing protection as required), long hours standing, walking, and laboring outdoors in varying weather conditions – frequently in extreme heat.

Employee may sit for an hour or more at a time.
