Description:

Liberty FCU, a full-service credit union, is seeking a Full-Time CPA - Tax Program Specialist to help develop, implement, and manage the tax program within our Wealth Management department. This individual will require a deep understanding of tax regulations, have excellent analytical skills, and have a passion for helping clients optimize their tax strategies. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive tax strategies tailored to clients' needs
  • Provide tax planning and compliance services for individual and business clients
  • Analyze tax regulations and ensure compliance with federal and state laws
  • Collaborate with financial advisors to integrate tax strategies into overall wealth management plans
  • Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Educate clients on tax implications of investment decisions and financial strategies
  • Conduct workshops and seminars for clients and staff on tax-related topics
  • Stay current on tax law changes and industry trends
  • Assist in guiding/leading CPA program development

Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax planning and compliance, preferably in a financial services or wealth management setting
  • Strong knowledge of tax regulations and laws
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
