About the Role:
Do you like to ship meaningful products and generally get stuff done? As a Pipelines Engineer on CrowdStrike’s SDX team, you will be a key member of the team that keeps our software factory humming. Want to shape the technical vision around our continuous integration pipeline? Build tools and automation that take us through the next 10x of growth? Enhance developer experience by decreasing friction and streamlining CI/CD pipelines? If so, this job is for you!
What You’ll Do:

  • Architect end-to-end pipelines in Jenkins, integrating them with various build/test/deploy tools.

  • Work with various consumer and enterprise operating systems (Windows, Linux, MacOS, iOS, Android) operating at scale.

  • Automate common tasks, deploy with an IaaS model, extensive experience with enterprise-grade configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet, Salt, Ansible)

  • Writing and maintaining Jenkins Plugins.

  • Strong development experience writing pipeline code in Jenkins using Groovy, including shared libraries.

  • Ability to understand the needs of a scaling organization and how to optimize jobs/pipelines to sustain growth.

  • Able to read and write in other scripting languages such as (Python, Go)

  • Maintain pipelines in a production setting

  • Experience utilizing git repositories (Bitbucket, Gitlab, etc.)

  • Ability to write simple, to moderately complex, scripts and programs for automation, tools, frameworks, dashboards, alarms.

  • Mentors junior engineers and expands capabilities within the team.

  • Focuses on improving methods and processes, reducing friction, and is a champion of such improvements to internal stakeholders/service partners.

  • Stays up-to-date with modern technologies for possible implementation.

  • Document processes/procedures.

  • Ability to perform code-review for quality and adherence to company style guides.

  • On-call rotation with other team members, subject matter expertise with Jenkins pipelines


  • What You'll Need:
  • 10+ years of experience working as a build engineer with 5+ years focused on Jenkins environments

  • Proven track record architecting and implementing complex enterprise-scale CI/CD pipelines

  • Advanced expertise in developing and maintaining custom Jenkins plugins

  • Expert-level proficiency in multiple programming languages, particularly Python at a minimum

  • Demonstrated mastery of Jenkins pipeline development using Groovy, including design and implementation of shared libraries

  • Expert-level experience optimizing and scaling Jenkins infrastructure for large organizations

  • Advanced git workflow management experience with enterprise platforms (Bitbucket, Gitlab, Github)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

  • 2-3 business-related trips per year for group meetings

  • Must work effectively and professionally with cross-functional groups across divisions, worldwide, as part of a team.

  • Must be able to work with a distributed team across multiple time zones.

  • Must exhibit meticulous attention to detail, and have the ability to make good, timely decisions.

  • Demonstrate self-learning capabilities, taking initiative in a fast pace/quickly changing environment.

  • Security mindset, general understanding of cybersecurity principles.
