Overview
Directing Workflow:
Oversees the Ambulatory Pharmacy workflows in a cost-effective manner, directing day-to-day operations, delegating responsibility and authority for providing pharmacy services. Oversees integration of new pharmacy services into standard pharmacy workflows.
Program Design & Development:
Align Ambulatory Pharmacy strategies with health system goals and vision. Development of programs, facilities and systems for continuous departmental improvement. Identfy and oversee initiatives impacting our entire department and health system partners.
Process/Service Monitoring:
Determines, coordinates/delegates, and schedules appropriate assignment of staff to meet workload demands, assuring adequate resources are available. Maintains practice standards, compliance, and accreditation standards and applicable laws and regulations. Guides implementaiton of automation and technology throughout the ambulatory infusion setting.
Team Member Leadership:
Recruits, hires, trains, develops, and supervises ambulatory pharmacy leaders and assigned staff. Develops performance standards, conducts performance appraisal (PE); and recommends salary increases consistent with Hospital policy and procedures. Supports ambulatory pharmacy leaders in HR inquiries.
Quality and Safety:
Develops new and improved services within Ambulatory Pharmacy focused on adult, pediatric, and perioperative services through constant evaluation and innovation. Utlizes metrics to create strategies for revenue generation, cost savings, and improved patient care. Use OPEX, Lean, and quality improvement strategies to continuously improving services that exceed customer needs.
Departmental Interdisciplinary Coordination:
Collaboration of pharmacy services with interdisciplinary teams that may include, but not limited to, nursing areas, other Ambulatory and Hospital departments, and external agencies to facilitate a smooth continuity of care.
Teaching:
Coordinates the recruitment, education, and training of pharmacy students, interns, and residents during their health-system pharmacy administration & leadership rotations.
Collaborates with the Chief Pharmacy Officer and hospital finance to manage budget and develop new financial initiatives.

Licensed Pharmacist in Oregon
Masters or Pharmacy Residency + 2 yrs work in hospital pharmacy
