The Office of Global Engagement at Clark University invites applications for an instructor position to teach a course titled "Intermediate Micro-Economics with Calculus" during the Fall 2025 semester in person at our partner institution (Hefei University of Technology) in China. This is a part-time, non-tenure line, renewable position based upon satisfactory performance. The on-site appointment starts on November 17th, 2025, and ends on January 18th, 2026.
As with other faculty appointments, teaching customarily includes course development, class time, class preparation, suitable office hours, grading, finals, classroom accounting, and other responsibilities commonly associated with university-level teaching. Teaching faculty are key contributors to the university's academic mission, which is to prepare students to meet the challenges of a complex and rapidly changing society. The teaching load for this position is one course with 3 sections, a total of 18 contact hours a week.
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship despite the fact that the teaching will take place in Hefei, China.
Applicants must have an MA in a relevant field (PhD preferred) or an appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or higher with a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in Higher Education.
