GMC is looking for a Contract Coordinator to work in the Architecture Department of our Montgomery, AL office.  The Contract Coordinator will assist team members with all phases of the contracting process, from initial Owner-Architect Agreements, submittal of the project to review agencies, to bidding and awarding of the Contract for Construction.  This position includes working with Project Architects, clients and Contractors on the required contractual forms and processes to create a seamless transition from conceptual design to finished built project.

 Essential functions and responsibilities include:

  • Execute and track construction plan and addenda distribution
  • Assist with Advertisement for Bids
  • Assist with submission and tracking of contract documents and specifications to review agencies
  • Assist with distribution and tracking of contract documents and specifications to bidders, owners, and contractors
  • Receive and track pre-bid Requests for Information (RFI’s)
  • Compile bids, prepare Bid Tabulation and assist with Letters of Recommendation
  • Distribute contract documents and Addenda to bidders prior to bud
  • Conform and finalize contract agreements documents for various owners
  • Maintain pre-construction records
  • Assist with general project correspondence, including multiple regulatory agencies
  • Coordinate with in-house and outside consultants during contract development and bidding

 Minimum Qualifications: 

 EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in construction, accounting, engineering, or architecture related industries
  • Experience in executing and maintaining contract documents
  • Microsoft Office suite of programs, DocuSign, Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience with project management software such as Procore, Newforma, E-Builder and others is preferred but must have a willingness to learn
