Technical Specialist (Water / Waste Water) - Military veterans preferred

Goodwyn Mills Cawood (GMC) is one of the largest privately-held architecture and engineering firms in the Southeast.

GMC is seeking a Technical Specialist for water and wastewater infrastructure projects to join our Atlanta, GA team. This individual will serve as project manager and/or technical lead on municipal drinking and wastewater projects.

Foundational

• Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the firm’s values and standards for technical excellence and quality
• Expresses a keen understanding of the industry standards
• Demonstrates the skills required for effective team contributions to the firm’s success
• Demonstrates clear expertise in strategic technical arena of interest at GMC
• Must show level of knowledge above general engineering staff and Project Managers
• Content with working across state lines as necessary to produce engineering projects 

Technical

• Provide design of technical activities in engineering projects
• Assess project feasibility by analyzing technology, resource needs, or market demand
• Utilize and educate staff on critical tools for success including software, analysis and research

• Present and explain proposals, reports or findings to clients
• Confer with management, production, or marketing staff to discuss project specifications or procedures

• Direct, review, or approve project design changes
• Coordinates with State Technical Leader and Project Managers to provide technical speakers at state, regional and national conferences
• Connectivity with other technical specialists to elevate one another

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience 
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering 
• Master’s, BCEE, PMP, LEED AP preferred
• Engaged in life-long learning to maintain knowledge associated with Architecture / Engineering contemporary issue
• Professional Engineer Licensure
