Position Title: Summer Help – Manufacturing Team Member Employment Type: Temporary, Full-Time (40 hours/week) Duration: Up to 12 weeks, beginning in May/June Compensation: Hourly; Non-benefited, No PTO Location: East Hartford, CT Position Overview: We are seeking motivated individuals to join our manufacturing team for the summer season. This role offers hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment, providing exposure to various departments including engineering, production, quality assurance, and shipping. Ideal candidates are enthusiastic about learning, possess strong organizational skills, and are eager to contribute to team objectives. Key Responsibilities: Production Support: Assist with light industrial tasks such as assembly, packaging, and material handling. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on manufacturing equipment. Inventory Management: Monitor and restock supplies, ensuring materials are available for production needs. Quality Assurance: Support quality control processes by inspecting products and reporting defects. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities and inventory levels. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in safety training sessions. Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work alongside various departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing operations. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and contribute ideas for operational efficiency. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; current students or recent graduates in relevant fields are encouraged to apply. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Willingness to learn and adapt to various tasks within the manufacturing process. Basic proficiency in using hand tools and understanding of manufacturing equipment is a plus. Working Conditions: Physical demands include standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and performing repetitive tasks. Exposure to a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Additional Information: • Available to work our business hours 7:00am-3:30pm or 8:00am-4:30pm • This is a full-time role up to 40 hours per week. • This is a 12-week temporary role spanning from May – August. • Work will be performed 100% on-site.
