Server OS/Data Cente/ Systems Administrator - Military veterans preferred

EVS is seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator (Server OS/Data Center Expert) to join our team for a potential contract win. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and supporting server technologies, with a strong focus on Windows and Linux environments. This role requires a deep understanding of virtualization, information security, and data center infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain Windows and Linux server environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.
Implement and manage Active Directory, Group Policy Management, and PKI solutions.
Oversee VMWare Infrastructure and SAN/Blade and Rack Server infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with Information Security requirements, including IAVA/M and DISA Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG).
Implement and manage Host Based Security Systems (HBSS) to protect server environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT initiatives and projects.
This position is contingent upon the award of the contract. The anticipated start date and scope of work will be determined based on the outcome of the interview process and the details of the awarded contract.

Requirements
Active Secret Security Clearance
Must be a U.S. Citizen
DoD experience
Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, business, or technical discipline.
Minimum of eight years of experience in the Information Technology field.
At least five years of experience in VMWare Infrastructure and SAN/Blade and Rack Server infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of information security requirements and compliance standards.
Proven experience in managing Windows and/or Linux server technologies.

Skills:
Proficient in Windows and Linux server management.
Expertise in Active Directory and Group Policy Management.
Experience with PKI implementation.
Strong understanding of VMWare and SAN technologies.
Knowledge of information security best practices and compliance.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.


Active DoD Clearance

A Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, business, or technical discipline; and

Eight years of experience in the Information Technology field with experience in Windows and/or Linux server technologies experience including Active Directory, Group Policy Management and PKI implementation.

Five of the eight years of experience should demonstrate experience in:
a) VMWare Infrastructure and SAN/Blade and Rack Server infrastructure;
b) Information Security requirement implementations including the ability to ensure IAVA/M and DISA Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG) compliance
c) Host Based Security System (HBSS) and Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS) implementations including the configuration and monitoring of HBSS and/or ESS Fragmentary Orders (FRAGORD)
d) DoD or DoN Cybersecurity controls including the use of STIGs, SRRs, and ACAS implementation
e) Fiber channel fabric/zoning/LUN management;
f) Administration and deployment of NetApp and Rack Server architecture, or equivalent platform capabilities; and
g) Disaster recovery preparedness and execution/administration using policy-based backup applications.

If a proposed individual does not meet both the desired education and experience qualifications, 12 years of experience in the Information Technology field would be considered equivalent. Eight of those 12 years should demonstrate experience in Windows and/or Linux server technologies experience including Active Directory, Group Policy Management and PKI implementation. Five of those 12 years should demonstrate experience in the additional areas described above (bullets "a" through "g"). Experience may run concurrently.
