Data Service Expert/ Data Engineer - Military veterans preferred

EVS is seeking a highly skilled Data Architect (Data Services Expert) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Information Technology, particularly in the development and deployment of relational databases and Business Intelligence systems. This role requires expertise in the Microsoft SQL Server stack and a commitment to maintaining secure and optimized database environments.


Key Responsibilities:

Working Capital Fund (WCF) accounting principles and generation of reports / On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP) analysis from WCF funding and cost information
Develop and deploy distributed relational databases and associated Business Intelligence (BI) systems.
Utilize Microsoft SQL Server stack, including MSSQL, SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS, to support data management and reporting needs.
Implement security measures for SQL environments in accordance with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs).
Manage SQL Server configuration, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data solutions that meet business objectives.
This position is contingent upon the award of the contract. The anticipated start date and scope of work will be determined based on the outcome of the interview process and the details of the awarded contract.

Requirements
Active Secret Security Clearance
Must be a U.S. Citizen
DoD Experience
Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, business, or technical discipline.
Minimum of five years of experience in the Information Technology field, demonstrating expertise in the areas outlined above.

Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server stack (MSSQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS).
Strong understanding of database security practices and STIG compliance.
Experience in database configuration management and optimization.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.


Active DoD Clearance

A Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, business, or technical discipline; and

Five years of experience in the Information Technology field that demonstrate experience in:
a) Development and deployment of distributed relational databases and associated Business Intelligence (BI) systems;
b) Microsoft SQL server stack, Microsoft Structured Query Language (MSSQL), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS);
c) Securing SQL environment in accordance with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs);
d) SQL Server configuration management, optimization, administration, development in client/server architecture, business object modeling and relational database design using MS SQL Server;
e) Microsoft Power BI.

Three years of the five years of experience should demonstrate experience in:
f) Working Capital Fund (WCF) accounting principles and generation of reports / On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP) analysis from WCF funding and cost information
g) Leading and designing Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) based application
h) Security requirements implementation and their impacts to overall software architecture

If a proposed individual does not meet both the desired education and experience qualifications, nine years of experience in the Information Technology field would be considered equivalent. Five of the nine years should demonstrate experience in bullets "a" through "e" and three years should demonstrate experience in bullets "f" through "h". Experience may run concurrently.
