We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Autorating and Costing Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper setup of rates for autorating and costing, while directly communicating with agents to foster collaboration and efficiency. Your keen analytical skills will be essential in identifying opportunities for improvement in autorating and autocosting processes, enabling us to meet and exceed globally defined performance targets. You will take ownership of autorating and costing at the station level, establishing a robust maintenance process in collaboration with GSC resources. With a focus on continuous improvement and quality output, you will implement and maintain processes for rate profiling, validation, and rate card uploads in Cargowise. Additionally, you will create insightful reports and dashboards to analyze autorating performance, conduct monthly training sessions with the US Network, and develop strong relationships with station operators and management to enhance overall performance. Your ability to devise innovative solutions for diverse business scenarios will be crucial in maintaining an autorating performance above 80% consistently, even amidst market challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate the detail oriented establishment of rates for autorating and costing, while engaging in direct communication with agents to ensure clarity and alignment.
Proactively identify and pursue opportunities for enhancement in autorating and autocosting processes, striving to not only meet but exceed globally defined performance targets.
Uphold a strong sense of ownership and accountability for autorating and costing at the station level, fostering a culture of responsibility and excellence.
Collaborate with GSC resources to develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance process for OFR within the United States.
Commit to the continuous improvement of autorating and costing practices, ensuring the delivery of high-quality outputs consistently.
Oversee the implementation and maintenance of processes with GSC Manila for rate profiling, uploading, validation, and the timely upload of rate cards in Cargowise.
Create reports, dashboards and data analysis of autorating performance.
Hold Monthly Trainings with US Network on Cargowise Autorating and System Behavior.
Develop relationships with operators, supervisors, managers from all of the stations and US OFR Management to support with US Autorating performance.
Create solutions for different business/customer scenarios to best apply autorating.
In some cases create rate cards for accounts based on station information and company tariff.
Maintain above 80% autorating performance for months consecutively despite the many challenges facing the market.
Skills / Requirements:
Fluent in English and Spanish
3+ years’ experience in Ocean Freight Forwarding preferrable with exposure to RFQ Rate Cards
Proof previous experience with rating management and solution design
Good knowledge of systems such as CargoSphere, Quoteshop & RFQs is a plus.
Strong Ocean Freight Operations background
Able to work independently, being a self-contributor and a Team player
Collaborative and teamwork style contributing and interacting constantly with the other team members
Result oriented and solution driven with the ability to find innovative/out of the box solutions
Able to multitask and prioritize in a highly dynamic environment
