For our operations in France, we are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and experienced Country Manager that will establish and grow Monta internationally in eCom fulfillment.  

Role based in : Meung sur Loire (45)

The Company

Monta has been established in 1999, and is currently operating with 2000 temporary and fixed staff, for 2000 webshops in 20 warehouses across 5 countries and expanding rapidly (30% year on year consistently).

The Role

As a Country Manager, you are a true entrepreneur and will oversee the entire country operation and ensure that the logistics process aligns with business goals and objectives. You will be responsible for building a team that drives the growth of Monta in your country. You will manage everything necessary to ensure successful order fulfilment and delivery.

You will be P&L responsible, operating with a decentralized approach as if the country operation were your own business. You will actively seek opportunities for growth, continuously innovate, and maintain a strong business acumen. You will develop and adjust strategic plans as necessary. Safety, in all its forms will be a priority, ensuring the well-being of your team, suppliers, customers, and visitors.

Through your knowledge about the local market, and additional market analysis, you will identify the optimal positioning for Monta within the local market and continuously adjust strategies to meet specific growth targets and customer demands.

You will be responsible for customer relations and satisfaction, engaging with customers to ensure continuous success. Identifying areas for improvement and expansion will be key aspects of your role. Each customer has unique needs, and you will adeptly respond to these, driving collaboration and growth.

Finally, you will build a strong partnership with local providers and suppliers that will help you achieve your growth targets. And ensure they are well-equipped and empowered to meet expectations, while also taking appropriate action if their performance does not align with Monta’s local business goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth and market share for Monta’s products in the country.
  • Build, empower and train a team that is adequately able to grow the Monta product in the country
  • Ensure that financial performance aligns with budgetary expectations and promptly report and address any discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to create effective campaigns and initiatives that resonate with local customers.
  • Foster strong relationships with key clients and local partners to ensure good performance and high customer satisfaction
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, ensuring the effective recruitment and onboarding of new customers.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends to adapt strategies and maintain competitive advantage
  • You possess a higher professional education level (University of Applied Sciences) or equivalent;
  • You have several >10 years of managerial experience in e-commerce or logistics, with a focus on growth;
  • You have in depth knowledge on the local eCom market and speak the country and industry language
  • You prioritize leading by example, being approachable, and actively contributing to your team's success;
  • You are passionate about developing people and take the initiative to create a supportive work environment;
