Overview

What We’re Looking For
As a Hardware Engineer at CyberPoint, you will provide expert-level support in the analysis, design, testing, installation and maintenance of complex hardware systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with hardware design and architecture, system configuration and installation in diverse environments. This role includes supporting both preventative and remedial maintenance, conducting site surveys, preparing detailed technical documentation and traveling to support installations across CONUS and OCONUS locations.

Your responsibilities as a Network Analyst will include (but not limited to):

  • Analyze complex hardware systems, network designs and other technical hardware issues.
  • Procure and perform acceptance testing of hardware equipment.
  • Provide preventive and remedial maintenance for hardware systems.
  • Deploy, install and implement hardware solutions at various CONUS and OCONUS sites.
  • Conduct site surveys; assess and document current site configurations and requirements.
  • Prepare specifications for hardware acquisitions based on documented and derived system requirements.
  • Develop hardware installation schedules aligned with integration and testing milestones.
  • Configure and document the setup of computers, networking devices, peripheral equipment and specialized processors.
  • Organize and lead on-site hardware installations and implementations.
  • Prepare engineering plans, Technical Design Packages (TDPs) and detailed site installation/test reports.
  • Train on-site personnel in the correct operation and maintenance of hardware systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues; ensure solutions meet end-user requirements.
  • Prepare reports and provide recommendations on both existing systems and emerging hardware technologies.
This position is 100% onsite in Ft. Meade MD and requires an active TS/SCI+FSP Security Clearance.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active TS/SCI+FSP Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Ability to develop and document functional requirements and detailed hardware specifications for acquisition and implementation.
  • Strong experience analyzing hardware specs and system/subsystem requirements to design scalable, real-world solutions.
  • Knowledge of hardware configurations, including servers, storage systems, networking gear and user interface devices.
  • Experience configuring and documenting the setup of computers, communications hardware and peripheral devices.
  • Familiarity with creating technical documentation such as installation guides, field test procedures and troubleshooting manuals.
  • Competence in preparing as-built documentation and technical drawings for site-specific installations.
  • Skilled in writing clear, concise reports that support ongoing optimization and future planning.

  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Network+ or vendor-specific certifications (Cisco, Dell, HP, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with hardware deployments in secure, mission-critical or high-availability environments.
  • Familiarity with military or government standards for hardware installations and technical documentation.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to train on-site personnel in proper hardware usage and maintenance.
