Physical Therapist Assistant Job Overview:

• Attend and contribute to patient care, staffing conferences, and other required meetings as a representative of physical therapy, under the direction of the Physical Therapist.
• Ensure adherence to the department's and patient's treatment schedules, timely clinical and billing documentation requirements, and attendance at work-related meetings.
• Collaborate with other members of the rehabilitation team to implement programs and activities that align with the needs and capabilities of each patient.
• Assist the Physical Therapist during tests, evaluations, and complex procedures
• Instruct patients, families, and caregivers on the skills and techniques involved in the physical therapy treatment program, under the supervision of the Physical Therapist

Physical Therapist Assistant Job Qualifications:

• Active PTA license in state of practice.
• Must have a driver's license or reliable transportation
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Previous Experience as a PTA is preferred.
