Your key responsabilities as Freight Billing Audit Manager (Finance Manager) will be:
To assist the Commercial Controller to effectively and proactively manage all aspects of the FBA&P function within the associated contracts in order to provide the appropriate information / service to the site, colleagues and customer. This role is responsible for supporting of the FBA&P Function and ensuring on time payment to the carriers and timely billing to the customer takes place whilst overseeing day to day freight spend reconciliations and complete month end trading process ensuring accruals are valid and backed up. To ensure adequate financial cost controls are in place with the support from the FBA&P Assistant Finance Managers.
Key Accountabilities
Financial Analysis
• Evaluation of customer freight contracts providing deep insight into the financials including analysis of high volume and value of data
• Responsibility for the freight purchasing and sales ledger inc. PO management on Oracle and control of Open Shipments in TMS across the accounts
• Support the delivery of accurate, complete and timely charging analysis to the customer as well as query resolution
• Proactively reduce future currency risks through hedging activities
Control and Governance
• Develop new tools to improve financial visibility
• Ensure all entries to balance sheet primes under our control stand up to scrutiny and have back up
Business Partnering support
• Support Financial Controller (FBA&P) in day to day operation of multi site, multi currency, multi platform accounting, invoicing and reporting
• Support FBA&P in continuous improvement agenda within the department and ensure processes are aligned to FBA&P strategy
• Support in review and management of carrier payments, customer debt and cash allocation
• Deputise alongside Assistant Finance Managers for Commercial Controller when required
• Coach internal and external stakeholders in FBA&P matters

Degree level education
Excellent communication skills at all levels across the business
English and local language Fluent
P&L experience. Knowledge of General Ledger accounts and intercompany reporting, Balance Sheet reconciliations
OTM System Knowledge
Ability to work in detail and high level
Multi-country / currency experience
Excellent IT skills - e.g MS Excel. Strong analytical and numerical skills
Strong organisation / planning
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work to strict deadlines
Ability to support the Senior Finance Controller at site
Flexibility / adaptability to meet changing business demands
