Transport Clerk - Maternity Cover - Military veterans preferred

Grade: RCS P
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: 45 hour working week starting at 02:45 (2:45am) , weekend on and weekend off too
Location: Bridgwater, Somerset, TA6 4AT

7 month maternity cover with a view to go permanent depending on the candidate

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking an Transport Clerk to play a vital role ensuring smooth-running of all transport scheduled activities.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will

• Preparing driver paperwork and carrying out driver briefs and de-briefs
• Communicate with drivers regarding rota's, routes and any issues arising throughout the shift
• Ensuring that all transport admin duties are carried our such as filing
• Supporting the Transport team with any other tasks as and when required

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Previous experience working within a Transport Office is desirable
• Strong administration experience
• Excellent IT skills - prior use of Microsoft Office, Microlise or Tachomaster is advantageous
• Good communication skills - both written and verbal
