Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Lead Product Owner to guide and oversee multiple product teams in delivering high-value features and solutions. As the Lead Product Owner, you will be responsible for aligning product vision and strategy with business objectives, managing product roadmaps, and ensuring the successful execution of product features across teams. You will work closely with stakeholders, offering owners, and development teams to ensure continuous delivery of valuable products within an Agile environment.

Scope of Role Responsibilities

Essential, key job responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Product Vision & Strategy: Collaborate with senior leadership to define and communicate the product vision, ensuring it aligns with the organization's goals and market needs.
  • Backlog Oversight: Lead and mentor a team of Product Owners to manage and prioritize multiple product backlogs, ensuring clear alignment across teams and consistency with the overall product strategy.
  • Program Increment (PI) Planning: Take a leadership role in PI planning sessions, ensuring that features and stories are aligned with the business goals, are well-prioritized, and have clear acceptance criteria.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact between the product teams and key business stakeholders, ensuring that requirements are well-communicated and aligned with the business objectives.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, all offerings, delivery, sales, and operations, to ensure smooth product delivery and high-quality results.
  • Delivery Oversight: Monitor the delivery of product features and ensure alignment with the overall product vision, adjusting priorities as needed based on feedback and evolving business goals.
  • Mentoring & Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to Product Owners on best practices in Agile, product management, and backlog refinement, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Release Coordination: Oversee the release planning process to ensure timely and smooth deployment of product increments, coordinating across teams and managing dependencies.
  • Value Prioritization: Ensure the product backlog is continuously refined and prioritized based on business value, customer feedback, and technical constraints, using data-driven insights to inform decisions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion Lean-Agile principles and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the product teams.
  • Alliance Management: Develop and maintain our alliance management strategy with a focus on strategic partners. Includes developing partner strategic plans, partner reporting, alliance responsibilities for Product Owners, Offer Managers, and dedicated Alliance Managers. Work with Offer team, sales, pre-sales, and customer success organizations on enablement, certification, and program development.
  • Manage and lead cross-functional teams to implement new offering and feature introductions and
  • Monitor, track and report on project status, KPI’s, changes in scope, issues, gaps and risks.
  • Program Management of assigned Offers surrounding product/vendor implementations
  • Operationalize support for new offers, services and delivery partners
  • Manage and lead the continuation operational efforts around existing offering/services (tools, enhancements, processes, etc.)
  • Work with offer owners to document offering collateral, service descriptions and enablement materials.
  • Maintain the offering catalogue and road maps for all offering.
  • Assist in the development and evaluation of business cases.
  • Document maintain and report on offering/services financial performance and KPI’s
  • Facilitate the on-boarding of new vendors specific to services organization.
  • Manage the continual operational support of vendors and partners as it relates to assigned Products

Additional job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the prioritization of new and existing projects
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of offering and project management methodologies
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications

Role Qualifications and Requirements

The following are minimum qualifications and requirements required for this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly in large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience managing multiple product teams and backlogs.
  • Certified SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager or equivalent certification (preferred).
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to drive alignment across teams and stakeholders with differing priorities and needs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering value.
  • Experience with Agile tools such as Jira.

The following qualifications are ideal, but not required:

  • Lean Six Sigma black belt
  • Experience working in a scaled Agile framework, such as SAFe and/or PLM
  • Strong understanding of Lean-Agile principles and their application in enterprise settings.
  • Background in Workplace IT managed services product development is preferred.
  • Experience in working with remote or distributed teams.
  • Agile project management or similar experience

Requires less than 30% travel annually.
