ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

 

Wind River is seeking an experienced high-performing manager to manage the Global Licensing department and partner with its global customer base to maximize customer value and success with Wind River licenses.

 

The successful candidate will join the Global Licensing organization which supports company-wide licensing initiatives and engages with Wind River’s global customer base providing license education, optimized license setups and technical support around license server setup, configuration and troubleshooting.

 

The ideal candidate is a confident self-starter, extremely analytical and capable of driving action with an understanding of the strategic big picture of managing successful customer relationships.

 

 Interface & Collaboration

 

  • Collaborate with all levels across multiple internal Wind River teams (Deal Desk, Legal, Sales, Product Management, etc.)
  • Play an integral role, supporting the execution and growth of the Licensing Success Organization and additional company-wide initiatives around licensing.
  • Work with all levels across multiple functions of Wind River’s global customers (Engineering, Procurement, etc.).

 

Key Accountabilities & Expectations

  • Manage the Global Licensing team to engage with Wind River’s global customer base to understand their development environment in order to recommend license configurations which maximize customer’s value, drives efficiency and optimizes cost.
  • Provide technical support to customers specific around license server installation, option file configuration and license server troubleshooting to minimize downtime and maximize license use success.
  • Collaborate with multiple Wind River teams such as deal desk, sales and legal to address technical licensing questions and requests.
  • Analyze customer feedback and technical issues to propose new improvements around licensing.

 

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications & Experience

 

  • BS/BA in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related technical field
  • 8+ years of DevOps working experience working closely with software development teams
  • 8+ years of license management/compliance experience
  • Knowledge of development methodologies including an understanding of tools such as Gitlab, Jenkins, Docker, etc.
  • Good understanding of key contract and licensing terms
  • Knowledge of Flexera license management tool is a plus
  • Excellent analytical skills with significant knowledge and experience in Excel
  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously with different timelines while effectively delivering complete and accurate results on schedule
  • Experience working with and supporting customers and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member with a high degree of accountability
  • Passionate self-starter with the dedication and perseverance to solve for the unknown
  • Structured, logical and creative thinking who can easily present clear, well-thought-out solutions and recommendations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be capable of dealing with conflicting priorities with ease

Compensation 
The annual base salary range for this role’s listed grade level is currently $178k to $222k for New York, Florida, California and Texas state residents, and $220k to $267k for NY City, Boston, MA and SF Bay Area residents. Salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities of the applicant, and equity with other team members.
