Research Technician



Performs a variety of independent laboratory work and experiments such as determining experimental protocols and preparation of specimens and cultures. Prepares reports of findings subsequent to compilation and analyzation. Oversees specimen inventory. Develops documentation for publication, crafts manuscripts and grant proposals.

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, biomedical engineering, or a related field plus 2+ years of hands-on experience in a research laboratory setting; or master’s degree in a relevant field.

• Proficiency in standard molecular and cell biology techniques, such as cell culture, nuclear acid isolation, etc.

• Experience handling human specimens and maintaining accurate documentation system in lab.

• ? Familiarity with immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, etc.

• Prior experience with regulatory documentation (IRB, clinical sample tracking) is a plus.

Physical Effort

Moderate physical effort required. May be required to stand/move for several hours at a time. May be required to move objects up to 50 pounds with or without assistance of equipment.
