Description:
Inline Lab Tech 1 - Role is responsible for conducting real-time quality testing within the Inline Mixing process and Inline Lab. This position will ensure that immediate test results are provided to maintain production flow, support rapid quality adjustments, and minimize defects. Duties include collecting samples for testing, testing in-process and finished materials, measuring key quality metrics, and communicating findings to production and quality teams. The role plays a critical part in ensuring consistent material properties and adherence to specifications in a high-paced production environment.
Requirements:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
1. Primary Responsibility: Conduct inline lab testing on mixed rubber compounds, preformed biscuits, and molded products directly from the production line to provide immediate feedback.
2. Real-Time Monitoring: Continuously check density, hardness, and cure rates at key production checkpoints and relay results to operators for adjustments as needed.
3. Immediate Issue Escalation: Identify and report deviations in quality to supervisors and production teams in real time to prevent defects.
4. Inline Equipment Operation: Set up and operate inline lab testing equipment, ensuring accurate and efficient data collection without disrupting production flow.
5. Data Documentation: Enter test results digitally in real time using tracking software to support rapid decision-making.
6. Collaboration: Work closely with Production Operators, Quality Assurance Leads, and Supervisors to maintain consistent material performance inline.
7. Maintain Equipment: Keeping all laboratory equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition. Follow all safety rules, regulations and practices. Employ all safety equipment and devices.
8. Attendance: Regular and reliable attendance is a requirement.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
6-9 months experience in factory atmosphere preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American weight measurements.
