Team Leader - Military veterans preferred

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Team Leader to play a vital role in ensuring teams are working together to achieve site, team and customer KPIs and maintain necessary Quality, Health & Safety and Compliance Standards, as required within the area of life sciences. As a team leader, you will plan, coordinate, supervise and report upon the work activities across the Life Sciences contracts, providing effective communication, leadership, motivation, training & development.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

• Ensure that clients defined quality and service level targets are met And the Quality Management System is kept up to date (Training, CAPA, Change Control and standard forms).
• Maintain effective inventory process, incorporating warehouse management systems & procedures to enhance accuracy and operational effectiveness
• Compliance with company and local statutory obligations regarding working time legislation, operator licensing, Health & Safety, quality, and compliance.
• Ensure that daily operational issues are dealt with in a proactive, efficient and timely manner specifically those relating to quality and service.
• Manage labour resources and cost - ensure correct team cover is available across all operational shifts to cover volumes. This will include the planning, scheduling and approving of labour hours & staff holidays
• Work in collaboration with other departments on the site to maximize efficiencies and best practice

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Minimum 12 months of experience in leading Logistics operations and implementations of new business ideally within the pharma industry.
• Minimum of 2 years warehouse management experience
• Experience in Security Processes and Audits
• Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements, processes & procedures
