POSITION LOCATION: Falls Church, VA, USA (On-site with possibility of hybrid/remote)
ANTICIPATED START DATE: Two weeks after candidate identification
TRAVEL: As required to fulfill the responsibilities of the position


ASRT, Inc. provides scientific, information management, management consulting, bioinformatics, and administrative program support to Federal agencies such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Defense Health Agency (DHA). The successful candidate will be a full-time employee of ASRT, Inc. and will be assigned to support the DHA in Falls Church, VA.


SCOPE OF WORK

The Task Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing contract operations support functions that involve multiple, complex, and interrelated project tasks. The role requires a high degree of coordination, leadership, and interaction with senior government clients. The ideal candidate will have direct experience within the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Defense Health Agency (DHA), including an understanding of military personnel and manpower programs.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organize, direct, and manage contract operation support functions across multiple project tasks.
  • Serve as a liaison and maintain client interface at senior levels of the client organization.
  • Provide day-to-day operations and administrative support for Federal and Military personnel.
  • Lead or assist with hiring and onboarding, orientation, and support for both civilian and military staff.
  • Manage and report on military personnel and manpower actions.
  • Assist in identifying position needs and coordinating training and awareness activities.
  • Support in- and out-processing for Civilian and Military personnel.
  • Provide human capital management support and expertise on force structure gaps in education, training, and experience.
  • Develop, review, and manage program documents, policy proposals, and deliverables in alignment with strategic goals.
  • Meet with customer and contractor personnel to formulate, implement, and review task plans and deliverables.
Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, human resources, project management, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in task or project management.
  • Experience supporting the Department of Defense or Defense Health Agency is highly desired.

Required:

  • Currently hold or have recently held a Public Trust clearance or higher.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven organizational and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SharePoint.
  • Experience with DoD Tasker and Correspondence Management Systems
  • Familiarity with Defense Travel System (DTS) and Joint Travel Regulations (JTR).
  • Understanding of Army, Navy, and Air Force military personnel and manpower programs.

Desirable:

  • Prior experience managing contracts or supporting government operations.
  • Demonstrated success in team leadership and client relationship management.

Language Skills:

  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
