Director, Clinical Management Office
The University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing is seeking a qualified Director of the Clinical Management Office. Recently ranked 2nd (tie) by US News & World Report for our Nurse Anesthesia DNP program, 4th (tie) for our Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, and 5th for our Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner DNP program, the School of Nursing continues to be one of the most reputable and well-known nursing education schools in the country for both undergraduate and graduate level programs. The school is searching for a director to create and run its Clinical Management Office. This role has strategic oversight of placement site development, regulatory compliance, and licensure processes, requiring strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders. The Director leads complex projects, makes strategic decisions, and serves as the face of the program to ensure high-quality clinical experiences that meet educational and accreditation standards. The Director will be responsible for the supervision of two staff members.
Develops and implements the vision and strategic plan of a program in conjunction with managing administrative functions. Fosters effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Develops budgets, marketing, education, and outreach strategies. Identifies potential funding and creates policies.
1. Develop and execute the strategic plan for clinical placements, creating timelines and measures to track success.
2. Supervise and manage Clinical Placement Specialists, including hiring, performance reviews, and human resource administration.
3. Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including community partners.
4. Identify, develop, and maintain a robust network of clinical placement sites through comprehensive research, strategic outreach, and relationship building with internal and external stakeholders while ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.
5. Oversee the School’s process for matching students to qualified placement sites, ensuring alignment with curricular and program needs.
6. Ensure timely and successful student placements to meet curriculum requirements and address site-related challenges.
7. Develop and implement marketing, education, and outreach strategies to expand the program's reach.
8. Lead high-stakes, complex projects involving multidisciplinary teams and national program expansion.
Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary.
