ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Direct and supervise the work of crew members.
Ensure all tools and equipment are inspected daily.
Tools and equipment are properly secure while being transported from one location to the next.
Ensure that crew members have the required safety equipment on hand, and it is being always utilized.
Submit daily attendance reports for all assigned personnel.
Attend weekly staff meetings (as needed) and conduct crew meetings to ensure effective communication.
Report any disciplinary concerns to management and the Union Steward.
Provide quarterly check-ins and annual performance reviews for all assigned personnel.
Performs other duties as directed by the Supervisor.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Basic computer skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to operate grounds equipment.
Knowledge of landscaping techniques and plant care.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to do the following for a period: stoop, kneel, reach, lift, walk, weed whack, and sit.
Some climbing and balancing.
High noise levels are common with general maintenance.
Must have the ability to maintain assigned work hours.
Must have sufficient endurance to perform tasks over long periods of time.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role requires work in a non-office setting, outdoor and industrial locations.
Work requires exposure to heat/cold, noise, dust, mist, and/or fumes.
Required the ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
We require wearing personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, fall protection harness, protective-toe footwear, gloves, hard hat, and hearing protection.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening and drug test.
Must be able to be cleared for base or site access.
Must possess a valid Driver’s License. CDL is preferred.
You must complete all mandated training requirements per government and management directives.
Must be able to obtain a favorable National Agency Check (NAC) per contract.
Must be a legal U.S. Resident per contract.
Must be able to communicate clearly in the English Language per contract.
