Essential Functions
These are the job duties required of the position.
Essential Functions
- Installs, maintains, and repairs valves, faucets, traps, wash bowls, sewer line hook-ups, vents, and other sanitary fixtures.
- Maintains piping systems by opening clogged drains and replacing washers on leaky faucets.
- Maintains and repairs storage and water return tanks, water heaters and similar equipment.
- Makes estimates of time and materials needed to perform jobs.
- Supervises work of unskilled or semiskilled helpers assisting with jobs.
- Operates pipe cutters, reamers, threading machines, sewer tapes, cables, and other related tools and equipment.
- Cuts and threads pipes, melts and cuts lead joints, and must be able to work on pumps, booster pumps and re-circulating pumps.
- Maintains and repairs swimming pools, spas and other water features.
- Inspects existing USA buildings to determine “as-built” conditions and records same.
- Moves items weighing up to 100 lbs.
- May be required to operate a motor vehicle to travel to and from work sites or transport materials.
- Regular and prompt attendance.
- Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required.
- Related duties as required.
