What You Will Be Doing:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for providing essential accounting for the Bank. They are responsible for assembling and reporting financial data to various users and governing authorities.

How You Will Get the Job Done:

  • Bank Accounting: Works to prepare more complex calculations and journal entries for the Bank. Some of these entries might include departmental accounting and allocations, provision for loan losses, tax expense, deferred tax assets, leases, fixed assets, holding company accounting, intercompany eliminations, or implementation of new accounting standards. Validates that financial records are maintained accurately. May perform confidential reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Financial Statement Reporting: Creates monthly board and managerial reports. Verifies financial statements to reports and resolves any discrepancies. Builds reports within the report creation function in Prologue.
  • Regulatory Reporting: Primarily responsible for the timely completion and submission of regulatory reports for the Bank and Holding Company, including the Call Report, FR2900, FR-Y8, FR-Y6 and FR-Y9 reports.
  • Subject Matter Expert: Knowledgeable of the banks financials and systems and can resolve many of the discrepancies that may come up. Is capable of being the accounting teams voice when it is needed for new product implementation. Is an administrator of the banks corporate credit card program.
  • Treasury Management: Assists the CFO in evaluating and maintaining cash, liquidity, derivatives, securities, and interest margin.

Professional & Educational Experience You Bring:

A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from a college or university, 3-5 years' experience in an accounting or related position; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

For this position, we anticipate a pay range between $65,000 and $103,000 annually. Final offers will vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, and abilities. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on individual and Bank performance.


Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to type, carry, handle and feel objects, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and more with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception in the window environment and the ability to adjust focus.
  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • Local travel between offices may be required.
