RS&H is currently seeking a fire protection engineer to join our team. This position will have the ability to work a hybrid schedule of in-office and remote work based in Jacksonville, FL.
As part of the buildings team, you'll serve an integral role in the firm by preparing fire protection engineering designs for fire suppression, fire alarm/mass notification, and life safety/code compliance systems. The role will include preparing project specifications and drawings as well as analysis and reports for fire protection and life safety systems. Other roles include fire modeling and smoke control system design. The role also includes performing quality control reviews and conducting field reviews and observations of ongoing construction projects. This position may also provide technical guidance and assign tasks to junior and support staff for project duration and/or manage discipline and small multidisciplinary teams.
