Description:
JOB SUMMARY: The Human Resources Generalist coordinates various human resource functions for Texana Bank and its employees. Responsibilities include facets of payroll processing, benefits administration, employee relations, and onboarding.
Reports to: Human Resources Manager
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Administer employee life cycle (i.e., hiring, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, terminations, etc.)
Responsible for processing termination paperwork and conducting exit interviews.
Provide general benefits information to employees and assist in benefits administration.
Assist in the processing of biweekly and semi-monthly payrolls.
Administer various employee documentation and policy acknowledgements.
Facilitate the effective resolution of day-to-day HR matters.
Provide administrative support and assist with special HR projects; assisting with internal audits.
Responsible for management and administration of employee compliance trainings.
Oversee all employee record maintenance and its compliance.
Responsible for HRIS maintenance and management, incorporating improvements where necessary.
Ensure compliance with labor regulations.
Ensure confidentiality of organization, employee and customer information.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Assist in Employee Relations concerns, including facilitating investigations and recommending resolutions
Requirements:
Qualifications
Minimum of bachelor's degree, major in business or human resources strongly preferred.
2+ recent years of experience in a human resources role; experience in banking or mortgage lending industries preferred.
Extremely efficient in Microsoft applications; experience with the HRIS Paylocity is a plus.
Knowledge of labor and employment laws; knowledge of financial institution regulation is a plus.
Ability to build rapport with all employees and managers.
Proficient organizational and time-management skills
Unquestionable integrity and demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive and confidential information required.
